How it Works
You work out. You eat your fruits and veggies. But there’s always a few trouble some areas all of us can never quite change. WarmSculpting SculpSure treatments help bring out the hard work you put in every day, so you can feel your best. The non-invasive, light-based technology targets and destroys treated fat cells. For good.  Just natural-looking and long-lasting results. No surgery. No downtime.

The 25-minute procedure works by using light-based technology to permanently destroy up to 24% of treated fat in problem areas such as the abdomen and love handles.

And with more than 1,2million SculpSure treatments performed globally with zero complications, this treatment is suitable for any skin type and is customizable for different shape body areas.

It works by increasing the temperature of fat cells to the point where the structural integrity of the cell is damaged, resulting in a slimmer appearance of the desired area.

Sculpsure is a revolutionary new laser treatment for getting rid of stubborn fat on the stomach and love handles. This body contouring treatment involves administering light-based energy to your desired treatment area to heat the fat cells, which are then progressively eliminated from the body resulting in a slimmer appearance. You will start to see results as early as 4 weeks after treatment, although optimal results are usually seen at 8-10 weeks.

The painless treatment takes just 25 minutes and there is no downtime making it ideal if you are pressed for time or something you could fit in your lunch break.

What to expect?
When the treatment starts, initially you will feel a cooling sensation. This helps keep the skin comfortable during treatment. The cooling will be on the entire treatment, while the laser cycles on and off, raising the temperature of the fat cells. Most patients feel a deep warmth and/or tingling sensation intermittently throughout the treatment which is generally well-tolerated3,4. After the 25-minute treatment is finished, you can resume your daily activities, as there is no post-treatment downtime.

Product Summary
SculpSure, developed by Cynosure, claims to be the first laser treatment offering non-invasive lipolysis (fat reduction) of the abdomen and flanks to be approved for use in America by the FDA. It was introduced into the UK in 2016.

It uses innovative, state of the art technology called hyperthermic laser treatment to sculpt and define the body with speedy treatment time, (around 25 minutes) and uses non-suction adaptors which offer consistent results.

The SculpSure method has been clinically proven to reduce fat by 24%1 and offers a patient satisfaction rate of 90%

Technical Specifications
SculpSure uses a diode laser with a light wavelength of 1060nm, applied as a continuous wave for controlled hyperthermic fat reduction. There is no aiming beam needed, as is often the case with more invasive laser lipolysis devices. The device also features Contact Cooling™ for added patient comfort.

How Does It Work?
SculpSure is a precise, light-based technology, which is perfect for people who are looking for the permanent removal of troublesome and stubborn areas of fat. The 1060nm wavelength targets and disrupts fat cells below the dermis (without being absorbed). It does this by raising the temperature level of the fatty tissue to between 42-47°C. The handpiece or pad offers Contact Cooling to simultaneously cool the skin throughout the procedure, preventing discomfort. The pad is simply fixed in place on the skin and the gradual heating of the fat is left to work for around 25 minutes. Over time, the body naturally eliminates the disrupted fat cells through the metabolism and lymphatic drainage, with results seen between 6 and 12 weeks later.

Licence Status
SculpSure has full U.S. FDA approval for lypolysis of the flanks and abdomen after approval in 2015, as well as being a European CE marked medical device.

Should Be Used By
Treatment should only be carried out by a fully trained medical practitioner such as a doctor or nurse, or by an advanced trained aesthetician. During your consultation, ask for your practitioner`s relevant certification, as well as asking all the questions you need, to be comfortable with the procedure.

What Is It Used To Treat?
SculpSure is used for lypolysis (destruction of fat cells), primarily on the flanks and abdomen. The device is being further developed by the makers for ease of fat removal in other areas, such as the neck (double chin), buttocks and thighs.

It can be used to treat areas of both non-pinchable and pinchable fat and is suitable for all skin types. It is important to note that Sculpsure is not a weight loss solution.

How Long Does It Last?
The fat cells are destroyed from the targeted area and will not regenerate, making the results from the SculpSure treatment permanent. This is however dependent on lifestyle choices, as any remaining fat cells, or those in other areas, can still increase in size over time with poor diet and a lack of exercise.

Positive results are often seen after as little as 6 weeks, with optimum results at around 12 weeks. You may be offered the option of a top-up or maintenance treatment regime for the future.

Side Effects & Risks
Throughout the treatment, most people will feel a warm and tingling sensation, which is generally well-tolerated. Following treatment there is a chance of some redness, and possibly swelling, and there might be a slight tenderness and firmness in the treated area, but this will wear off after a few days.

Unlike invasive fat removal and laser lipolysis treatments where cannulas and probes are inserted under the skin, there is no real downtime with SculpSure. Since it is such a quick treatment, with sessions lasting around 25 minutes, you could have it done during a lunch break and return to work without any problems. Although most people would rather rest afterwards. In addition, as the light wave is specifically targeted to fat cells, there is no damage to any surrounding tissues.

Not to Be Used in
SculpSure is safe for use on all skin types.
Those with active skin infections or scarring in the area to be treated will not be good candidates for treatment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid treatment until weaning is complete. Treatment Regime

Cost of Treatments
The price of a SculpSure treatment begins at around 499 AED for a single Applicator using a single handpiece pad. The more pads used or areas treated in one session, the more the price increases, however package discounts are often available for treating multiple areas at once.

Clinical Results
Generally, one treatment is all that is needed to see a significant reduction in fat, with patients seeing an average reduction of 24%1, according to clinical trials.

CoolSculpting vs. SculpSure: Comparing the Top Body Contouring Treatments

CoolSculpting and SculpSure are the leading non-invasive body contouring treatments that reduce stubborn fat without surgery or downtime. Millions of men and women have turned to these fat reduction treatments as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction to address belly fat, love handles, thigh fat, back fat, double chins, and other bulges that resist diet and exercise. While both CoolSculpting and SculpSure are safe and effective, the different energy modalities and technologies present unique advantages and disadvantages of each treatment. Read on to learn the differences between CoolSculpting and SculpSure to discover which body contouring treatment is right for you.

How Does CoolSculpting and SculpSure work?
Both treatments induce lipolysis (the destruction and removal of fat cells.) However, SculpSure and CoolSculpting use different mechanisms to eliminate those fat cells. CoolSculpting uses precisely controlled cooling to freeze fat cells to death. SculpSure uses advanced laser technology to melt fat cells away. Both these methods of fat removal are possible because fat cells are more vulnerable to temperature fluctuations than the surrounding tissue or overlying skin. This means that colder temperatures that do not harm skin or tissue can freeze fat cells. In the same manner, warmer temperatures can safely penetrate the skin to overheat fat cells, causing their destruction.

CoolSculpting vs. SculpSure
Both body-contouring treatments are cleared by the FDA and scientifically proven safe and effective. SculpSure reviews in scientific literature, such as a study published in Lasers in Science and Medicine, reported that SculpSure resulted in a 24% reduction of fat. Another SculpSure review published in the Journal of Dermatological Surgery found that 96% of patients reported a positive perception of their treatment.
This is similar to CoolSculpting reviews published in peer-reviewed journals. For example, a study published in Dermatological Surgery evaluated more than 500 CoolSculpting patients and reported “Survey results demonstrated 73% patient satisfaction and… a 23% reduction in fat layer thickness at 3 months.”

Both treatments rely on the body’s lymphatic system to gather the damaged fat cells and process them out of the body in the form of waste. This means that results for both treatments appear over the span of 8 to 16 weeks, though individual experiences may vary. Furthermore, both body-contouring procedures provide long-lasting fat reduction.

Why Choose SculpSure over CoolSculpting
SculpSure represents the latest technology in non-invasive body contouring. Cleared by the FDA in 2016, SculpSure has rivaled CoolSculpting in the non-surgical fat reduction industry in several ways:

CoolSculpting Cost vs. SculpSure Cost: SculpSure provides similar results as CoolSculpting, but at a more affordable price per treatment.

Treatment Areas: SculpSure can treat up to four different treatment areas at one time. In contrast, CoolSculpting can treat only one treat one area at a time. This make comprehensive body contouring with CoolSculpting a far more extensive, expensive and time demanding process compared to achieving a total body transformation with SculpSure.

Treatment Times: In addition to treating more areas at one time, SculpSure’s advanced technology provides shorter treatment times compared to CoolSculpting. With fast, 25-minute treatments, it is no wonder SculpSure is nicknamed the “lunch time lipo.”

CoolSculpting Side Effects vs. SculpSure Side Effects: SculpSure’s flat applicators do not require suction, unlike CoolSculpting, which uses a vacuum mechanism to attach the applicator to the treatment area. Bypassing this suction also eliminates many of the side effects associated with CoolSculpting, such as tenderness, redness, bruising, and swelling at the treatment site.

CoolSculpting Pain vs. SculpSure Pain: Flat applicators also make SculpSure a painless treatment. This stands in sharp contrast to CoolSculpting that can be painful for many patients who complain about the suction and sensation of extreme cold at the treatment site during the fat freezing procedure.

Downtime and Recovery: CoolSculpting is a more invasive technique for eliminating stubborn fat cells, and therefore requires a longer recovery compared to SculpSure. CoolSculpting side effects can persist for up to 2 weeks following the fat freezing treatment. In comparison, SculpSure requires no downtime
or recovery and patients can return to their normal activities immediately after their laser fat reduction treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What results can I expect?

Patients may start to see results in the form of a reduction and slimming of the treatment area as early as four weeks following treatment as the body begins to remove destroyed fat cells, with optimal results usually seen at 8-10 weeks. Every patient is different and most patients see the best results when they have a series of treatments. Our highly-trained team at Gaga Medical & Aesthetic Center will take you through a detailed consultation, meaning we can tailor your journey to your exact needs.

Is this treatment painful?

Most patients feel a tingling sensation intermittently throughout the treatment which is generally well-tolerated. However, SculpSure is generally a comfortable treatment, with no need for anesthesia. There is also no recovery period or downtime, so you can have the treatment and return to normal activities immediately.

Is this treatment suitable for me?

SculpSure is ideal for people with trouble spots, particularly those that seem resistant to diet and exercise. The patients who will most benefit from a SculpSure treatment will typically already have a good diet and lifestyle.
